So, if you have all these things handy let’s begin the step-by-step guide to tether an iPhone.
Tether an Apple iPhone in 6 easy steps
Step 1 – Turn your iPhone and Computer to working mode.
Step 2 – Press “Settings” on your iPhone, then navigate to “General” and further choose “Network”. Here you will see a lot of options. Pick “Internet Tethering” and turn it “On”.
Note: While Tethering the iPhone use “USB Only” Mode
Step 3 – Connect your iPhone to the computer using the iPhone sync cable that comes bundled with the package
Step 4 – Open up any web browser installed on your system, preferably Internet Explorer. Now, open any webpage, let’s say http://www.google.com If you are able to access the website, your internet is configured correctly. Enjoy the cyber world.
If not, proceed to Step 5
Step 5 – Click on “Start” of your computer and navigate to open “Control Panel”, then open “Network and Internet.”
Step 6 – Once in “Network and Internet” navigate to “View Network Status and Tasks” >> Choose “Change Adapter Settings” >> Right-Click “Apple Mobile Device Ethernet” and click on “Enable
This simple step would enable internet tethering through your iPhone. Try opening a website on Internet explorer again and you are good to use Internet, on time, every time.
