Cell Phone Processors for 16MP Cameras
The Japanese companies have been very advanced compared to others, in terms of technology at least. Recent cellphones manufactured by Japanese based companies have had great cameras capable of taking stunning pictures and recording HD video as well. But now, Japanese chip making giants Renesas have gone a step further by saying that they can produce processors capable of having a 16 megapixel camera in them. Remarkable indeed. Apparently, their new image processing chip, CE150 will make it possible to have 16MP phone cameras in future.
The company plans on mass producing these processors from March this year and aims to produce 1 million units monthly. You can get your hands on the sample units for $48 per unit.
